Photo Competition – In honor of St Patrick’s Day

We are holding a photo competition, in honor of St Patrick’s Day! As many people are aware, St Paddy’s Day is the 17th of March and festivities are held worldwide to celebrate St Patrick, who is the patron saint of Ireland. Legend tells us he kicked all the snakes out of Ireland, so he must have been a pretty magical dude, worthy of such a day!

Green is the color people celebrate in to honor all things Irish, so in keeping with the green theme we are asking for photo submissions that are of something green. We honestly do not mind what it is, it could be a photo of a green frog, a green landscape, you dressed in green for a St Paddy’s day celebration…all we are asking is that the photo has a lot of green!

The winner will receive the book below, which as the title suggests, is an entertaining guide to all things Irish. One my favorite parts explains the “gift of the gab,” which is acquired by kissing the Blarney Stone. In addition to this, we’ll include a genuine Irish shamrock! So ok it’s not loads of cash, but there also won’t be a million people participating, so you have a pretty decent chance of winning.

Anyone can enter. And if you have blog that you would like us to link back to, let us know the address and we’ll be happy to do that. So what do you need to do to enter…

1) Email us your photo at alex_bell (at) wanderlustmarriage (dot) com by the 10th of March

On Monday the 11th of March, we will post your photo’s on our site

2) Tell your friends to come and comment on the post and vote for your photo

On Saturday the 16th of March, voting will end, and the submission with the most votes wins and will be announced on St Patrick’s Day. It is as simple as that!

We will then contact you, so we can send your prize to you in the mail.
