Angel Falls: Venezuela

It comes as no surprise that we feature South America on this list. The continent is rich in culture, wildlife, and insanely epic landmarks. Angel Falls drops just over the Auyán-tepui mountain in the Canaima National Park and is a UNESCO World Heritage site. It stands 3211 feet tall, and its longest drop is about 2624 feet deep. But it’s the beauty we are after.

Standing at 15 times higher than the world-famous Niagara Falls, Angel falls has dense jungle surrounding it, making it one of the most breathtaking spots on the planet – note that the views are better seen via helicopter or small charter plane. Interestingly, the falls were first discovered in 1930 and have been popular ever since. Will this be your next destination?

When we think about India, we don’t immediately associate the country with waterfalls, but they do exist, and one, in particular, is a site for sore eyes. It is one of the country’s tallest and arguably one of the most impressive cascades. The waterfall cascades about 1000 feet and is roughly 100 feet wide. It’s been nicknamed The Sea of Milk because it creates the illusion of milk dropping into the Mandovi River below.

Located in the Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary and Mollem National Park, Dudhsagar Falls is open to everyone willing to encapsulate themselves in nature. Earlier this year, the falls were closed to tourists due to the monsoon, and the government allowed animals to return to the space first.
