Happy Thanksgiving from Boston!

So the holidays season has officially kicked off, with Christmas and holiday markets popping up around the world, and people geared up for a shopping frenzy. This year we are spending Thanksgiving in our current home of Boston. We looked into traveling down to Florida to see family and friends, but there were constraints that prevented the trip from materializing. So we’re just spending the day together and enjoying the comforts of home. For two people who spend a lot of time on the road this can be both a blessing and lead to us feeling a little antsy. But, we have some great travels plans on the horizon, that include us visiting both of our families in the next few months!

This Thanksgiving we are Thankful for:

Alex: I’m grateful to have celebrated 10 years of marriage this year to a loving and supportive wife. While it’s frigid in Boston and this will be my 8th consecutive cold winter (after growing up in Florida) it’s good to take a step back and just be grateful for the essentials like having good health, a warm place to live and good food to eat. I’m also thankful that we have our tickets booked to spend Christmas in Florida to spend time with my Dad, our friends and to feel some warmth on our skin!

Bell: This Thanksgiving I am thankful to have celebrated 10 years of marriage to Alex. Each one of those years have been filled with amazing adventures and while a few of those years have been rough, we’ve stuck together and learned from each other while experiencing new cultures and exploring this beautiful planet. I am also grateful for a lovely summer with many beautiful sunny days. These were much needed after our first Boston winter being a record breaker with over 100 inches of snow last February!

For readers abroad, if you want to learn more about Thanksgiving, the American holiday that now draws the largest numbers of travelers, history.com has it well covered! And for those celebrating, we hope you’re having a wonderful Thanksgiving and thank you for your support! We’re also very grateful for that too!
