Washington, DC is not typically thought of as a romantic getaway destination, but the city offers many lovely spots for weddings, honeymoons and romantic getaways. New York City is a huge melting pot of cultures, with co-existing communities from all over the world. As various immigrants have moved into the city over the past few centuries, they’ve shaped the culture and cuisine. New York City has fantastic food, but can also be a bipolar city, with many comically overpriced and lousy eateries. Milwaukee rests 90 miles north of Chicago. Wisconsin’s largest city offers picturesque views of Lake Michigan and a hopping brew scene. Many German immigrants settled in Milwaukee in the mid 1800’s and the city reflects much of their influence. Milwaukee has been home to several of the nations biggest breweries throughout its history, earning the nickname “Brew City.”

Charleston consistently ranks as one of the top destinations in the US by major travel publications. Its history dates to 1670 and the town is especially famous for its beautifully preserved French Quarter, a lovely harbor and one of the largest collections of antebellum houses in the US (pre US civil war architecture).
