Margaritaville Resort Orlando

We recently had the opportunity to stay at beautiful Margaritaville Resort Orlando. The AAA four diamond award property offers a vacation oasis on the doorstep of the theme park capital of the world. Lush pools, spa facilities and comfortable spacious rooms offer families and couples all the ingredients for a wonderful vacation. Guests can also book a colorful and spacious villa, with Caribbean style architecture.

Margaritaville Resort’s aim is for visitors to feel like they are blissfully sailing on a cruise, while on land. We had a great time on the property, as we soaked up Jimmy Buffet style tropical vibes. Margaritaville Resort’s friendly staff enjoys their jobs, and their warm hospitality and smiling faces amplifies a satisfying guest experience for optimum relaxation and fun in Kissimmee, Florida.

Convenient Sunset Walk Location

Margaritaville Resort Orlando is located behind the Sunset Walk entertainment district, which features a wide variety of delicious dining options. Entertainment options include escape rooms and axe throwing. Guests can also walk just a few minutes to Studio Movie Grill to watch a film from the friendly confines of plush stadium seating.

Lobby and Check-In

Relaxation mode set upon us as soon as we entered Margaritaville’s inviting and well appointed lobby. Decor includes hanging margarita glasses, parrot frescoes and a giant red sandal. Four receptionists were on duty so there was no wait to check-in.

After check-in, the friendly receptionist asked if we wanted our welcome punch cocktail then or later. We opted to have the welcome drink as a night cap, and she informed us that we could come by reception later that night to have it. The tasty tropical drink is a great welcome to kick start a relaxing stay.

Pools and Hot Tubs

The large pool at Margaritaville Resort Orlando has many palm trees and umbrellas alongside it.

Margaritaville Resort Orlando features spacious pools and hot tubs lined with an abundance of palm trees. The space conjures a relaxing slice of paradise, with ample room to lounge, swim and play.

Even on a warm evening, I enjoy alternating between the comfortablly cool pool temperature and the warm hot tub. The fluctuating temperatures helps improve blood circulation, which also offers additional stress relief. I have a lot of experience covering thermal baths in Europe, including historic spa towns in Greece.

Guests can grab a drink or bite to eat poolside from Salty Rim Bar & Grill. Casual food choices include appetizers, salads and handhelds like shrimp tacos, cheeseburgers, cuban sandwiches, hot dogs and a tropical fish sandwich with blackened mahi.

Margaritaville Resort Orlando Breakfast

Breakfast at Margaritaville Resort Orlando offers island style vibes to kickstart the day. They offer a wide variety of favorite like omelettes, breakfast sandwiches and lighter fare. We especially recommend their breakfast sandwich and smoked salmon on an everything bagel, which is delicious, healthy and a generous portion. Temperatures are comfortable in the morning and it is lovely to enjoy breakfast with a gorgeous view of palm trees and the pool.

St. Somewhere Spa

St. Somewhere Spa invites guests to experience a feeling of transporting themselves to “a relaxing island escape for the mind, body, and soul.” Their spa menu features a variety of massages, body therapies, skin treatments, facials, and salon services inspired by the tropics.

We did not have an opportunity to personally experience St. Somewhere Spa, but the options sound great for extra pampering during a relaxing vacation.

Guest Rooms

Margaritaville Resort Orlando’s guest rooms offer a warm and welcoming vacation vibe immediately upon entry. Their comfortable rooms’ generous 450 sq. feet size gives ample room for a family of four to sleep in two comfortable queen sized beds. The mini fridge comes in handy for storing drinks, snacks and leftovers from tasty area meals. We always appreciate a good coffee machine in the room to kick start the day.

Margaritaville Resort Orlando’s spacious guest rooms are 450 sq. feet and all have a balcony.

The spacious bathroom features duel sinks, so multiple people can get ready in front of the mirror simultaneously. A cute quirk is the dolphin fin sink handles, which are fitting for the property. The toilet has a separate door, offering privacy if someone is getting ready or using the shower.

Euphoria Fish House

“Euphoria” takes its name from Jimmy Buffett’s beloved yacht. The on-site upscale restaurant conjures a tropical sense of intimate luxury, with a solid kitchen and an inviting lounge. Whether you want to dine at a table, or at the bar, guests have multiple options.

Euphoria Fish House’s menu includes a good variety of seafood dishes like seared scallops with truffled cream corn, salmon with roasted baby potatoes, citrus beurre blanc, baby spinach, shrimp scampi and fish n’chips. They also serve a variety of steaks, chicken, burgers and sandwiches like lobster rolls. So there is something to suit a wide assortment of palates.

We enjoyed sitting at the bar, in close proximity to the live musician. His talented performance included a mix of songs including some favorite Jimmy Buffet covers. It’s a relaxing and fun way to finish the day with a night cap, before retiring back to a comfortable guest room.

Island H20 Water Park

Island H2O Water Park is located next to Margaritaville Resort Orlando, right off 192. The park features over 20 experiences, including exciting slides, a lazy river, wave pool and a children’s section. High-tech features invite guests to customize their experiences and share them with friends. Guests can enjoy private cabanas and an adults-only area for relaxing.

The concierge in the Margaritaville Resort Orlando lobby can arrange discounted tickets for Island H20 Water Park.
