Alex Kallimanis is an award winning travel journalist who has visited 67+ different countries, including all 27 European Union countries, across all continents except Antarctica. He has resided around the world, living in countries like Australia, the Netherlands and Ireland for over 7 years combined. Currently residing in the Tampa, Florida, area with his wife Bell, he still spends much of his time in Europe as he also holds Greek citizenship, thanks to his father. Alex is a graduate of the University of Central Florida with a bachelor of arts degree in history, and was the president of Phi Alpha Theta (Honors History Society) during his senior year there. He was working on an MBA at UCF, before leaving it to reside in Australia on a one year working holiday visa, many moons ago. Melbourne is the sports, arts and coffee capital of Australia. While Sydney’s harbor is more dramatically beautiful, Melbourne is the place to go for the nation’s biggest sporting events, fantastic museums, a great culinary scene, and Australia’s finest coffee culture. Bell went to university in Melbourne and we lived there together for a year. We recently re-visited family and friends and were rekindled with everything we love about one of the world’s most livable cities. So here are great things to do in Melbourne to help you plan a wonderful trip!

Huntingdon, Pennsylvania: Tips for Planning a Visit

Raystown Lake is the largest lake in the state of Pennsylvania. Around 44 miles south of State College, home of Penn State University, and around a 3-hour drive from Washington DC, it is a great destination for boating, swimming, mountain biking, scuba diving, and fishing during warmer months.

The nearby town of Huntingdon, PA, set along the Juanita River dates to 1767. It’s home to the nation’s oldest automobile museum, Swigart Museum. Lincoln Caverns are another highlight. Here are some of the highlights of visiting this Pennsylvania region!

Great Things to Do in Southeast Montana

Wild, wacky and wonderful are three words that encapsulate the experience of visiting Southeast Montana. A pontoon boat ride through Bighorn Canyon is wonderfully picturesque, and perhaps one of the most underrated experiences in the United States. The Terry Badlands offer another dramatically beautiful landscape.

Southeast Montana is also rich in Native American culture and history. Little Bighorn Battlefield was home to “Custer’s Last Stand,” a major Native American victory in the fight to preserve their way of life. Pompeys Pillar is where Captain Clark engraved his name during the Lewis and Clark Expedition, helping to pave the way for American expansion.

Then there’s the wacky, like the world’s largest steer at the O’Fallon Historic Museum.
